A prototype of the TH!NK public were used to bring artist around the Øya Festival site. The Oslo-based music festival has a conscious environmental profile and has used several TH!NK city EV's this and earlier years for all their small trips when planning the festivals.

The Research Council of Norway announced today that the final report from the foresight study "Advanced Materials Norway 2020" is ready. It is unfortunately only available in norwegian. Can be ordered at: www.forskningsradet.no or dowloaded here.

DogA Extreme North Exhibition

The Extreme North exhibition opens today. It is the first major project to be jointly produced by Norsk Form and the Norwegian Design Council in their new premises. It also marks the official opening of the Norwegian Centre for Design and Architecture. called DogA. The Norwegian saying "there's no bad weather, only bad clothes" forms the basis for the Extreme North exhibition, which shows norwegian
design and architecture that has been specially designed for our climate. Stig Olav Skeie is represented with TH!NK public and TH!NK city. The exhibition will be shown around the world in 2005/2006. Next stop will be in Japan.

The Research Council of Norway has invited a group of 60-70 skilled persons from different types of R&D environments for a foresight study called Advanced Materials Norway 2020. Stig Olav Skeie is one of four industrial designers invited. Four workshop days wil be held between october 27th 2004 until January 26th 2005. Institute of Industrial Design celebrates 20 years

Institute of Industrial Design at The school of Arcitecture and Design celebrates their 20 years existence with an exhibition based on graduated students design works. Think launched the new TH!NK public
and the convertible version of TH!NK city called TH!NK open at the conferance and exhibition "Urban Sustainable Mobility is possible now!" The event takes place in Estoril outside Lisboa. TH!NK city with new drivesystem from Frazer-Nash is also displayed and used for testdrives for the first time. It will also be possible to testdrive TH!NK open. Think received the environmental prize Glassbjørnen 2003

Tonight Think received the prize Glassbjørnen (Glass Bear) 2003 for Best Environmental Design by the organization GRIP. Stig Olav Skeie represented Think. It was the first time the prize was awarded. 60 companies competed in 4 categories. The two other finalist for Best Environmental Design were Stokke AS with Tripp Trapp and The Pure Water Co. AS with the PURE! water system.
Think Nordic sold to Kamkorp Microelectronics

Today Ford Motor Company sold Think Nordic AS to Kamkorp Microelectronics GmbH based in Switzerland. Think Nordic will continue as under Ford's ownership with factory at Aurskog and R&D department in Oslo.
Award for Design Excellense
Think city receives the Award for Design Excellense

Think Nordic received the Award for Design Excellence by the Norwegian Design Council. Designed by Stig Olav Skeie (Chief Designer/Exterior) and Katinka von der Lippe (Interior). The jury’s verdict: "
The exterior is also considerably developed, and it now matches the design standard of the established producers. The car has some refined details, and its milieu qualities are outstanding". Read more on Norwegian Design Council 's webpage
1000th TH!NK city
Think city no. 1.000 produced

Today the 1.000th TH!NK city (A266) was manufactured. A small ceremony was held at the Aurskog factory outside Oslo celebrating this milestone. Five more of the first generation TH!NK city will be assembled. Then the line shuts down and the rebuild and preparation for production of the new TH!NK city (A306) begins. Start-up is planned to be in May.

displayed the new TH!NK city (A306) at the TH!NK stand at the show.

Ford Motor Company today launched the new TH!NK city (codename A306) at the Greater Los Angeles Motor Show. One vehicle will be on display here and another will be shown at the NAIAS 2002 (North American International Auto Show) in Detroit opening January 6th
Think Group
Ford establishes the Think Group

A year after Ford Motor Company aquired Think Nordic, they today announced the establishment of the Think Group. This took place at the Detroit autoshow NAIAS 2000. Think Group will include all Ford's activities on environment friendly vehicles. This means Ford's Alternative Fuel Division now will be a part of the Think Group which consist of Think Mobility, Think Technology and Think Nordic. Four days ago, on September 11th , Think Mobility launched the sustainable mobilty program Think@about London. It was opened by mayor Ken Livingstone. Several UK companies are partners and will use the cars, amongst others: BBC, The Body Shop, British Telecom, Celebrity Media Group, Capital City Chauffers, Faber Maunsell Group, Future Forests, J Sainsbury, Onyx Environmental Group, Organic Express, RAC, Transport for London Street Management and Westbourne Studios.

Think@boutEdinburgh was launched today. Edinburgh is the next location to follow up the sustainable mobility program launched in London last autumn. The interest for leasing the cars the next 18 months were huge and the following companies were selected for participation in the first run: City Couriers, Camerons, Caledonian Brewery, Radio Forth, Royal Bank of Scotland, Castle Rock Housing Association, Ryden, University of Edinburgh and the City of Edinburg Council.
