PIVCO CityBee (PIV3)
The third generation EV from PIVCO was also called CityBee with code name PIV3. It was the first serial production vehicle from PIVCO. Development startet in March 1994 and production started July 1995. About 115 cars were manufactured until November 1996 at the plant in Aurskog, 45 kilometers east of Oslo. The cars were used in different test programs, mainly in San Francisco (34 cars) and Oslo (60 cars), but also in Stckholm and Stavanger. Several crash tests were performed and an airbag system was developed for these cars, but not installed.
Stig Olav Skeie was Chief Designer for the program and designed both exterior and interior on this version of CityBee.
