Think Nordic AS/Ford Motor Company The development of the next generation TH!NK city started in August 1999. Main goal was to make a FMVSS-certified vehicle for the US market and to use as many carry-over Ford parts as possible to reduce cost. Different directions were evaluated, most of them based on the Ford Ka (BE146) platform, The work was done at MSXi outside Ford UK's headqurter in Dunton. Stig Olav Skeie was Chief Designer for the program. Two exterior clay models and one interior buck with clay interior was built. The co-operation with MSXi ended in October 2000, when it was decided to base the new TH!NK city (A306) on Think's platform instead of on Ford Ka. |
