History
Skeie Industridesign was established in June 1989 and have worked for a wide range of clients making various products from shoes to buses. Electronic products and products for professional users were a major part of the business the first years. Between 1989 and 1992 Skeie Industridesign was engaged by Sigrid Eckhoff Industrial Design to support on some larger projects. A portable ticketing machine, garbage bins for petrol stations, a microphone and various shoes were designed together with her that period.

In 1993 Stig Olav Skeie was engaged as Chief Designer at electric vehicle manufacturer PIVCO AS. After developing 4 generations of electric vehicles PIVCO was taken over by Ford Motor Company in January 1999. The company changed name to Think Nordic AS and Ford later established Think Group, Think Technology and Think Mobility based in US and partly UK and Europe. Serial production of TH!NK city started in 1999. Design and development of the next generation TH!NK city started summer 1999. The first 15 months the project centre were outside Dunton in England, before it moved to Norway. The new TH!NK city was launched at the Greater Los Angeles Auto Show and at NAIAS (North American International Auto Show) in Detroit January 2002. Pre-series production were almost completed when Ford deciced to withdraw from the EV business, focusing on hybrid and fuel-cell vehicles instead. Ford sold Think Nordic to Kamcorp Microelectronics end of January 2003. It was an unvaluable experience to work within a global company like Ford during these four years.
During the next 3 years I continued as Chief Designer and were involved in design of TH!NK open, a convertible based on the new TH!NK city, the new vehicle concept called TH!NK public, a monorail, an electric multi-wheeled bus and a small commuter vehicle. After financial problems Kamcorp Microelectronics had to file Think Nordic for bankruptcy February 2006.

From spring 2006 I run Skeie Industridesign on full time working with new clients, but also been engaged by the re-established Think Global AS. Here I participated in the relaunch of the TH!NK city and in the development of the TH!NK Ox. A concept car launched at the Geneva international motorshow 2008. From May 2008 to January 2010 I was employed at Think again in the new and larger design team that then was established. Unfortunately it was closed down end of 2009 due to financial problems.

From 2010 Skeie Industridesign is active in developing new design concepts, but also work as a design consultant. If your company want a closer presentation of my skills and design services, please contact me for a meeting at your location or mine
